Standard Electric Recorders Co. and Mainline Announce One Night Screening for Standard Selects: The Movie, A Collection of Interviews and Direct-To-VHS Performances from Beloved Atlanta Artists

Mainline and Standard Electric Recorders Co. have been teeing up a collaboration the past few days and we didn't have to wait long for that announcement as it has come. The recording studio and Mainline Independent Press have announced that they are rebooting Standard Electric Recording Co.’s Standard Selects series, originally broadcasted in 2018 and on hiatus since 2020 because of the pandemic, the series features live in studio direct-to-VHS performances. The original run featured local celebs such as Lunar Vacation, Chick Wallace, New Junk City and more. New episodes of Standard Selects will be begin starting March 10th.

Not only is this series being revived, but they are debuting Standard Selects: The Movie which aims to kick off the series in a big way. The movie will play for one night only, March 2nd, at The Plaza Theatre and features eleven acts from season one including BAUMS, CDSM, Janie Danger, Maggie FM, major, Makenna Lyric, Muelas, Safety Switch, Sloping, SMALL and Upchuck-- one crazy lineup of Atlanta talent, along with exclusive interviews!

The film and upcoming series was entirely recorded at Standard Electric Recorders Co. in Scottdale, GA and was produced by Aja Arnold, Autumn James, Damon Moon and Sydney Ward.
