It feels like each day, more and more people are talking about This is Lorelei, whether it's: “Did you know that’s the guy from Water From Your Eyes?” or discussing the blending genres to find that exact, specific sound. Their latest album, The Singer in My Band, solidifies that Nate Amos is on the right track to finding his best place. His discography weaves in and out of electronic bedroom pop, lo-fi indie rock, and throw in some folk while you’re at it. The Singer in My Band leans into the latter, but somehow still captures the essence of all his world leading up to this.

Their set in Atlanta at the Coca-Cola Roxy comprised mostly of new tracks, while leaving a few moments to shine for some classics. During “I’m All Fucked Up,” Amos’ guitar was going in and out of tune, but that didn’t seem to impede them. Closing the set with “Dancing in the Club,” seemed to hook the crowd with that familiarity and lock everyone in for one last song. On a stage of a 4,000-cap room, with clear technical difficulties, the band still delivered a show that appealed to their fans, gained some new ones, and warmed the stage perfectly for the Bleachers to headline.
