ear with Their MacBook on Tour Leave Fans Wanting More
ear's music is generally upbeat, thought-provoking, and stimulating. When asked to cover the sold-out show in Atlanta, ear being on tour of their latest album, Rumspringa, I was genuinely excited to see what they would bring to the concert scene this year.

The crowd at The Goat Farm was getting more and more excited as the minutes ticked closer to 9:10pm, when Jonah Paz and Yaelle Atvan took the stage. They came out with one MacBook and themselves. The lights were low and backlit, the fog in the room made it almost impossible to see the stage from further than two rows back. The entire set consisted of the duo singing along to pre-loaded tracks and full body headbanging and as they described it, “tweaking.”
It took the crowd around 4-5 songs of the 50-minute set to warm up and get into the show expressively. Around that same time, Ativan and Paz jumped into the crowd and danced around with the audience which seemed to really liven up the room. I spent the rest of the show from the audience, where people were dancing intermittently and there was a pit consistently trying to stay open.
The strongest element of the night was how excited the crowd was. I expected slightly more from the production and found myself wishing for a little more of a “show,” and after walking around and talking with some fans, they agreed. With that said, maybe a MacBook is all they need.
