On March 31st at Aisle 5, Hannah Cohen transformed her stage into something ethereal. Known for her dreamy, folk-inspired sound, Cohen’s performance transfixed her audience throughout her intimate set. The venue’s cozy environment only deepened that effect, dissolving the boundary between artist and audience and leaving fans suspended in a shared moment—like one of her own lyrics come to life: “I think I know you well, at least I think I do.”

That sense of familiarity echoes throughout Cohen’s 2025 album Earthstar Mountain, a record rooted in the interconnectedness of past, present, and future; and the quiet threads that bind people together. Those ideas took shape in a setlist that moved fluidly across her catalog—blending older favorites like “This Is Your Life” with selections from Earthstar Mountain, alongside a handful of unreleased songs. The result was a portrait of the artist Hannah Cohen has been, is now, and is becoming.

By the end of the night, Aisle 5 had become Cohen’s world–a magical place that invites you in to explore, and one you know she’s exploring, too. She’s an incredible performer and deserved every bit of the applause and cheers of the crowd who, most likely, have newfound appreciation for her music. I know I do.
