This September will mark 10 years since the southern-fried rock band from Atlanta released their sound defining sophomore album Much Love. Songs like "Lighterless" and "Dull" are what set Microwave apart as one of the hottest bands representing Atlanta's sound and they proved that to still be the case by selling out the biggest room at The Masquerade (Heaven) this past weekend and they plan to do it there again in a month.

Unlike Stovall's sold out 10-year one night only concert in Atlanta a couple years ago, Microwave is opting to go all out with a celebratory 28 date, full US tour beginning this past week in Atlanta and ending next month right back here in their hometown for assumedly another sold out night.

Microwave began by performing the entire length of Much Love, including "Homebody," a song they never actually played live even when they were originally touring the album, Nathan Hardy said whilst on stage. After they were finished performing the 10 songs that made up Much Love, the rest of the set was filled with the band's greatest hits from past albums like Stovall and Let's Start Degeneracy, and ending the night with "Float to the Top" from my personal favorite album of theirs, the underrated Death is a Warm Blanket and finally fan favorite "But Not Often," from the 2015 split EP called Split with Head North.
