The year was 2024. Just as everyone was wrapping up their year-end lists, Wallice released her debut album, The Jester: her most well-conceived, creatively thought-out project yet. Fast forward a year and a half, Wallice has hung up the red clown nose and just completed touring the US and Canada, performing songs from her currently untitled sophomore album rolling out later this year.

Last Saturday night I experienced a bit of deje vu. I had shot Wallice headlining the exact same stage, Purgatory at The Masquerade in Atlanta, for her EP release show almost three years ago during her iconic Mr Big Shot tour. To see how much she has grown as an artist having recorded two full length albums in the time since her latest EP is eye watering.

As I mentioned, Wallice has new music coming this year; she announced to a cheering crowd that she finished recording her sophomore album last summer. After performing just a few songs from her untitled album, I for one cannot wait to hear the rest of what she's got in store in the coming months.
